Home Organizing Myths

Home organizing Myth- Organized By Rediet

Over the years we’ve heard a lot of myths about home organizing–we’re debunking them today!

Myth #1: There is No Way to Maintain Organization

Yes, your home will sometimes be disorganized. Even if you invest in creating an organized space, the fact that you live in it means it will sometimes fall out of order. This doesn’t mean you can’t maintain organization–it just means you have to recognize when the disorder starts and take small steps to keep your vision together.

Fold that laundry when it starts piling up and repack that stationary that’s on your desk. There are no shortcuts–just practice and commitment. So keep practicing and recommitting to organizing your space everyday!

Myth #2: My Space is Too Small or Too Big to Organize

No space is too small or too large to organize. Every space is unique–you just have to be creative. If your space is small, you may not be able to use too many containers or baskets, but you may be able to find creative ways to declutter, move things around, and find opportunities to use the space as efficiently as possible. If your space is large you might be able to buy tons of new organizational equipment, but really have to figure out where it fits best so you don’t create more clutter.

Each space has pros and cons, but the size of your space doesn’t limit the potential to organize it.

Myth #3: Home Organizing is Always Expensive

It’s easy to feel like you need to go buy everything at the Container Store to organize your space–but the truth is, there are so many ways to organize. Whether you have an unlimited budget, a tight budget, or no budget, you can always find creative ways to put your space in order. Sometimes, items you already own can be repurposed to better organize your space.

You don’t have to break the bank to organize your space, you just have to get started!
